I have been using this gun for a few years now and this Nailer has never let me down. It just works every time I would definitely buy the Nailer again.
That's why this is such a great machine and is so far above the crowd. Above all, it's absolutely reliable. Further, forget the worries about nail angles. It's tops. There are already dozens of whiners who have mentioned the lack of the air fitting or plastic box, so PULEEEZE don't report that you were shocked when it arrived without them. adjustable depth, with a simple turn of a wheel, positionable rafter hanger, hand-filling grip, adjustable exhaust direction, light weight, selector for bump or single firing, removable rubber no-mar foot.
This machine has it all.
When everyone else's machines are fussing and whining for just this or that nail, the Milwaukee drives them all.
All were driven home, perfectly seated.
Nobody makes a better, quieter, more solid, lighter, or more efficient nailer.
I've fired thousands of nails through this one so far, of different makes, sizes, and angles, without one jamb or miss-fire.
That's Milwaukee engineering from the people who invented the Sawzall and introduced commercial hand power tools to the world.
Just stick a strip of round-head plastic collated nails (20 to 23°) and go to town.
The lack of a $1.75 air fitting and a storage box notwithstanding, this nailer performs far beyond my expectations and deserves six stars if I could give it.
Fittings cost nothing and are available anywhere, and what's the big deal with a plastic box.
It is now at a friend's house for a remodel. Bought this on 4/28/08. Have also lent it to a carpenter/friend (Stuart Construction ` Herrin, IL). Built a large shed with it that spring/summer. The nailer never failed. Keeps on tickin. Paid $176.78 for it
The Milwaukee 7100-20 Nailer has performed very well for me. I was concerned when I made the purchase that the required air pressure was 70 to 120 psi. My little compressor will only put out 100 psi max and drops to 80 psi before it recharges. The nailer worked flawlessly with 2 3/8 inch nails at all pressures and only occasionally did I have to finish the nailing with the 3 1/4 inch nails.
The rafter hook slides out of the way but is useful when elevated. Oops, supposed to be 5 stars. Light for a full head nailer, easy to use. Trivial to reload. Worked flawlessly.
